Serata di conferme quella dei Producers Guild of America Awards, la cerimonia di premiazione dell’associazione dei produttori americani che si è tenuta ieri sera al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles.

Proprio come ai Golden Globes, il premio alla miglior serie drammatica è andato alla prima stagione di The Handmaid’s Tale, mentre quello alla miglior commedia è andato a The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Ricordiamo che la PGA hanno inserito Big Little Lies tra le serie drammatiche e non tra le miniserie, in quanto le nomination si sono svolte dopo l’annuncio che verrà realizzata una seconda stagione. Ecco quindi che la serie della HBO non ha potuto gareggiare nella sezione “long-form television” (che include film tv, miniserie e serie antologiche), dove ha vinto la quarta stagione di Black Mirror.

Insomma, un vero trionfo per i servizi streaming: HULU, Netflix e Amazon Prime Video hanno catturato l’attenzione dell’associazione dei produttori lasciando a mani vuote canali broadcast e via cavo.
